Drifting in a sky hammock towards forever

Drifting in a Sky Hammock Towards Forever
As soon as I get out of bed, I get right
into the hammock by my bedside
to be cradled and held,
and I’m going to bring my blanket and
pillow with me so that I can stay there
a while and doze off as the day goes by
In my hammock I rock back and forth
with my eyes half closed and the fabric
cocoons my body tightly so that I don’t fall
which is good since there is no floor
below me and if I fall I will
never hit the ground
Sometimes my eyes open and I look around
as my hammock drifts indefinitely
and see a shadowed sky expanding around
me and there are clouds made of sheep’s
wool and sheep with wings baaing their
way towards the everblue in the far-off distance
Surely, I would never make it there
for I am swinging in my hammock
which has a mind of its own
and I have no wings
I could ask the little fairies across the
way that are painting the sky purple with
their bunny tail brushes
I’m sure they would know how to get there
I hear that there’s a waterfall which falls
forever and the air is made
from the giggles of babies
That the sun there is eternal and its rays
radiate golden-hour beams every hour
The animals play tag along the
lily-grove meadow’s creek and you eat
sugar cubes with bubble water for every meal
Yes, I am sure that the fairies could help me
get there, but I’m staying right here
floating along the seafoam stream and
listening to crickets and dandelion fluff
soar through the wind
I have the perfect view of the skygrass
which looks beautiful this season
Well, why wouldn’t it? The weather lately
has been lovely—almost every other
day has been undercast
Next week they say that there’s going
to be a feather storm
I usually trust the bird counsel since this
is their territory and they know best,
but we haven’t been fortunate enough to
have an event like that happen since the creation
I will still remain open minded though since
my mind is empty and needs to be filled anyways
