Dreams Over Her

From "us" to "you"

By Maryam BatoolPublished about a year ago Updated about a year ago 2 min read
Synchronized heartbeats

Life settles some tricks that tear you to withstand

'Rivals' become souls; who were once 'hand in hand'

Dark seems every pitch and sight of crisis more

Bonds who paddled together stand separate on seashores

Passing comments now like; It's none of their business

Once felt warm in each other's arms, that frame is their witness

Grab your heart in hand to hear a tale of such two souls;

Of Two Love Birds, their beauty and endless strolls

A couple who shared their bite and every meal

'An eye blink', A 'buck-drink'— The boy would always kneel

All the bumps and scars she would bear for him

She was his flashlight when his world was dim

Against the resistance of the world, they were like an entwined sword

Love was all they had, no desire for any reward

Together they withstood, with every breath; parallel

Not one but two stars were harmonizing in dwell

Their world was complete their ties were so strong

A Fairy-Oasis world was where they would belong

He had a couple of dreams, but fear of loss kept him behind

He wanted Her to support him, he was one of a kind

She gave her hair, the jewels, and her diamond ring

She wanted him to fly, true in full swing

His heart usually said, "I'm your debtor, my heart is yours all"

She would hide him and lay her arms if he were to fall

The winds of cold or the burn of the sun

Her heart was set on Kindle, but only for one

Days passed, the winds crashed it started to feel cold

She loved him the same, but his spark demanded a hold

His dreams were nights and days for her

She rooted constantly but his waves lost Fur

They got more than SHE ever looked for

Pieces, jewels, bars, and a nicer car

His trail began to change for he wanted "More and more"

Every moment felt like burden although she wasn't sure

Her screams, her smile started to vanish slow

Their love story was crumbling like presence of mould

The lost affection and small talk being untold

He didn't look like he wanted a soft-back

He wouldn't crave those butterflies; once he lacked

The day arrived soon, Her silence broke

Her heart busted and she continued to choke;

To cold greets

.

To be continued...
