Dreams And Regrets

A Villanelle Challenge

Noir Art

He asked, do you want to see the bodies?

Shadows have secrets that they don’t want known

Evil eyes decide just what the gods see

**

Private fields hidden, filled with regret and poppies

Planting seeds that should have never be sewn

He asked, do you want to see the bodies?

**

Storms brew inside forming emotional tsunamis

Stirring bitter winds, building up the storm

Evil eyes decide just what the gods see

**

You better decide now, who it is, you want to be

Fear can create problems, then doubters are born

He asked, do you want to see the bodies?

**

A teacher and his student, politely disagree

Helping through the arguments, they soar

Evil eyes decide just what the gods see

**

Somethings in this world can be confusing

Deep loss can cause the strongest man to mourn

He asked, do you want to see the bodies?

Evil eyes decide just what the gods see

What a thriller of a poem. I think this would also make a good story for the coming Halloween season.
