Dreamland's Doorway
A journey through the subconscious mind
Beyond the realm of reason,
Where logic holds no sway,
Lies a land of pure imagination,
Where the impossible may play.
The sky is a canvas of swirling hues,
Painted by the brush of the dreamer's mind,
The trees are made of twisted wires,
And the rivers flow in reverse kind.
Butterflies made of glass,
Flutter through the air,
While giant hands reach down,
To pluck them with a stare.
A door made of stardust,
Beckons me to enter in,
To explore the uncharted depths,
Of my subconscious mind's spin.
And as I step through Dreamland's doorway,
I am greeted by a world of wonder,
A place where the impossible is possible,
And dreams and reality sunder.
I walk through fields of cotton candy,
Watching as they melt away,
I swim in seas of liquid gold,
And dance with creatures made of clay.
The sky is purple and the grass is blue,
And the sun sets in the east,
But in this place, nothing is as it seems,
And the rules of time are at least.
I see a clock that runs backwards,
And a mirror that reflects the past,
I hear a symphony of silence,
And the shadows cast no cast.
As I wander through this dreamlike land,
I am filled with a sense of awe,
For in this place, nothing is as it seems,
And the mind's eye can explore.
I come upon a door,
That leads me back to reality,
I step through, with a sense of loss,
But also with a newfound clarity.
For in Dreamland's doorway,
I have discovered new worlds to explore,
And my subconscious mind,
Has opened up even more.
And so, I return to my waking life,
With a renewed sense of wonder,
For in Dreamland, anything is possible,
And my subconscious mind will always thunder.
