Dreaming of You

I wait and wait

All day long

I wait for that moment when I can see you again

Through all the work

Through all the dirt

I wait patiently

For the time I get to see you again

I do not whine

I do not cry

I just wait to see you

At the end of the day

The time comes for me to rest

By your side

Finally I can see you there

Lying on the bed waiting for me to join you

I lay down and get all snuggled up

I reach over to hug

And realize

That you're not here

I realize that I don't see you anymore

And I come to the realization

That it was all a dream
