Hello everyone!
I made this poem somewhere around 2017 and I decided to re-do it again in Canva, adding the images and art so that it made a bit more sense and looked visually appealing. I won't load all the images here as I will just plainly type poem here. However, if you would like to see the poems with (amateur) visuals, please feel free to visit my Instagram @cc_shalina.
I want to be more active in my writing and have more confidence in doing so. Thank you for reading and God bless.
Dreamer's Dream
Tonight I'll dream of stinging bees,
Sweet honey not meant for me.
A garden full of beautiful roses,
But thorns, when pricked induce deep sleep.
Tonight I'll be Alice and go the deep burrowing,
Hunting white rabbits and tea with the freaks.
The dances are strange,
No one is perfectly sane,
It's okay though,
It's the norm to act insane.
Tonight I'm riding the magic carpet,
Spun by queens and wild flying horses.
We go higher up,
Soar the skies,
See!
Now I do believe pigs can fly.
Tonight I dream down and under,
Up and above,
Whichever we wonder.
East, West, South and North,
The ways of which,
You must go forth.
Tonight I dream,
The weather,
Be still!
One minute it's sunny,
The next, it's raining.
One moment you flood me,
The next I'm retreating.
One moment your cloudy,
Now your glaringly happy.
One moment you surface,
then the next you are gone.
Tonight I'm dreaming, dreaming, dreaming......
Tonight I dream,
Tomorrow it's different,
And I can't hardly wait for it to begin.
