Despite determination,

Despite desperation…

Despite. Despite. Despite.

Despite daring,

deserving,

desiring,

dreaming…

Disaster!

doesn't discriminate.

Divinely decided,

Disaster!

drowns,

desultorily drenching.

Diving-down,

digging-deep,

designing defenses:

Diligence doesn't dare.

Disaster!

disregards defiance,

decimating defectors.

Dauntless demeanors,

damningly doused,

disintegrate.

Disaster!

deems dreamers:

destitute.

Defenses dampened,

deluged dreams

disappear,

dragged downstream.

Disaster!’s

damages done:

depression dethrones dedication.

Descending down,

drinking darkness,

daylight dissolves.

Denied duration,

dreams decay.

Days drag...

drab, dull,

dreary, draining.

...Distantly...

Disorganized,

downtrodden, dejected:

Dreams disembark,

Disaster!’s dinghy,

docking downriver.

Dreamers

drift directionless,

distrusting destiny...

Discovery Downstream!

Desires! Dreams!

Destiny doesn't disappoint!

Dreamers discontinue dilly-dallying.

Desperation: defunct.

Dissatisfaction: destroyed.

Despondency: deceased!

Dear downfallen,

damaged,

dejected,

destitute...

Don't dishearten,

despite Disaster!

Dreams don’t die.

Despite. Despite. Despite.

That's excellent and it sounds like it comes from profound personal experience too. In that sense it's even a little chilling and foreboding until the hopeful conclusion. I really liked it!

I'm glad you got this one up, in the nick of time! It exemplifies your ability to invoke strong emotion, and a sense of narrative motion, even when you're only allowed one letter. Well done.
