Dragon's Rage

Mother's Son

Dragon Rage, Mother’s Son

~

The sky has been given to my sister

Her wits and charms have allowed her the gifts of our mother

My heart beats bitterly

My wings close to my skin

My eldest brother has inherited the land

By right it is his

Dirt is crunched between my claws

Rage pulls at the bitterness

Deep gouges are torn into the land

My heart weeps

Mother Earth has given and given well

Equidae, you are the youngest

Even your fair beauty matches that of Mother

Night you are but father to us all

Rage consumes me

I have been gifted with strength

Powers not controllable

And yet still I have nothing to claim as my own

Rage burns deep within

I've been writing my whole life. Writing about realms to escape in, forbidden characters to fall in love with, and using writing as my muse and refuge. Recently, I've delved into the mind...mine and others. Happy Reading. Wishing you well.
