haunting guilt stuck in my throat, refusing
to let me breathe.
my breath shortens, hyperventilation.
a fire lights in my body.

i can't do it.

i hate myself, but i continue to push on
every day with this beast that lives inside,
conquering my soul, whispering its inner
thoughts, and warping my mind.

i need help, but no one will reach out to me.

i'm long gone, lost in my head.
this creature won't let me be,
this creature won't let me live.
