Double Luck

a poem

Today, I discovered two eyelashes in my eye.

Does this signify that the cycle of bad luck will finally end?

Will positivity and success flow effortlessly and abundantly?

Moving forward with no regrets?

Leaving behind what should have never occurred in the first place

And happened on the stream of ridicule,

Surprised, the sensation stings the eyes,

Reminiscent of encountering blister agents.

A declaration of chemical warfare,

Urging caution against its lingering disadvantages.

In times of need for solace,

A pillow awaits before you.

No longer are humans present,

They have vanished entirely.

Returning to the familiar river is futile,

For the countless currents, relentlessly push me away.

Same routines never yield success a second time

They resemble rusty rivets on an old armchair

Delving too deeply, forsaking comfort and safety

Their prickling is priceless and pricey, lost in time to no avail.

It's never too late, let's flip the script

Words repeated incessantly, ad nauseam

Until people transform into mindless machines,

But what's the purpose in all of this?
