Help me with a translation, please, my love.

What you said… does it mean —

Come as you are.

Sacrifice nothing for my pleasure.

Nothing you could do or fail to do would displease me.

Be only yourself, which is all I could ever want.

I could desire nothing more or less from you than everything that you are.

Or does it mean —

Go as you like.

I do not value you(r love).

Nothing you could do or fail to do would please me.

You could never be anything I would ever want.

Everything that you are is inconsequential to me.

In this context, Lover,

Which translation is correct?

When you said,

“I need nothing from you.”

Which did you mean?

They cannot both be true.
