Doppelgänger

Double walker

By Mark Stigers Published about a year ago 1 min read

A doppelgänger, yes, I am.

How necessary are you here?

Will anybody give a damn,

if I grip you in icy Fear

I appear as an exact copy of you,

yet, soon you I will replace.

For I’m better at all you do;

Prepare to be erased.

They would rather have me;

you are too flawed.

We will run a test and see,

who’s better at their job.

As I take your place,

I will destroy you complete and whole.

You will fall into disgrace,

as, bit by bit, I’ll steal your soul.

You will wonder who you are,

or if you are even real.

From your life you will be barred,

no matter how you feel.
