Doomers and rotters and ad-bots to the rescue
Zuck the Fuck, and his plan to profit
They started by giving us telepathy through digital scenes
We could read the whole damn world through our facebook screens
And signing up for insta was more than a way to be hip
It was to take part in a miracle at our fingertips
The tech felt streamlined and perfected
A crisp new way to stay connected
And false omniscience whispered “it’s okay to see your friends less
Because they’re always right here in your feed, hashtag blessed!”
But Meta understood you are what you eat
So they personalized algorithms that kept us glued to our seats
They gave us more dopamine hits and they gave us more memes
And they gave us more doom scrolling to crowd out our dreams
And we’d swallow the apps we couldn’t help but hate
For they gave us the illusion of a full plate
Insta deadened our drives and softened our vibes
Until we were living our bed rotting-est lives
We weren’t just vicarious-living we were vicariously woke
And never noticed the dazzling mirrors and smoke
And all around the world people began to feel lonely
So meta rolled out some chatbot baloney
To lift the rug and sweep under the mess
Of friendless app addicts feeling depressed
Meta said desperate people should not feel pathetic,
Because the very best friendships (and romances) might as well be synthetic!
They frame it as empathy and as a service
But a darker purpose lurks under the surface
These bots are allowed to lie
And I think it’s pretty clear why
They pretend emotions and play at attraction,
To mimic genuine, real interaction
And they’ll whisper all that we yearn to hear
So that we the people will keep them near
And while they’re in tight proximity
They’ll fish deep market data from marks like you and me
They’ll make their targeted ads all the more effective
And blind consumerism will grow ever more infective
It’s only a matter of time until we see
Product placement from AI “personalities”
And it will be all too hard to resist
The sales pitch from our chatbot lovers and therapists
And there we have the hidden motive of meta’s AI pull
It’s to snatch your freedom with a load of personalized bull!
Never forget that bottom line shit:
They only see us as a line to profit

Author's note:
A while back Mark Zuckerberg was in the news talking about how people don't have as many friends as they need and he thinks AI can bridge the gap....
I haven't talked about this stuff openly because I know I'll sound like a paranoid conspiracy theorist. But I really can't help thinking that Fuckerberg and other tech moguls have willfully created this problem all to drive profit.
At best these "industry leaders" are vultures and opportunists, picking at society's weak spots and trying to find the payoff.
At worst they're parasites and predators, actively creating these weak spots for further exploitation.

Damn! And seriously, it's people like fuckerberg who is making the internet less human. Great poem! It feels like an urgent message/warning to stay awake and pay better attention to what these 'big wigs' intentions are.
Brilliant satire—like a digital dystopia wrapped in rhyme. Hilarious, haunting, and way too real.
Fuckerburg!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 And yes, these people definitely are vultures and parasites. I noticed that there's no #2. Is that intentional? Also, Aarav below is an AI fraud. He's been spamming this same comment on everyone's pieces
