Don't You Go Knocking Me Down and Leaving Me Stoned//Friends for Free
Old Poems

Don't you go knocking me down and leaving me stoned
Light by bowl baby and meet me on the other side
Take that blotter paper, wrap me in it's serious warmth
Lift me to your lungs
Know me as your own
I feel like a star nosed mole, staring at the night sky
Whose legacy is a hole, not the bright burning streak of a comet
I want to be flung into the rapids
Wating for something to open
For Drew
//
I must just be one of your friends for free
I'm just a sanctimonious claim made on some bored afternoon
All I do is lie, cry and lie
So burn me on your cross
Break the cathedral walls and see how I feel once you seal my soul
You know you'll still need me
