Don’t Let Me

Don’t let me slip away; don’t let me fade into yesterday. The darkness starts to consume me; I’ve lost my breath. I envision my death.

I go away, slipping through the cracks of light. My memories flood to you tonight.

How I wish I could’ve changed my mind, how can I rewind the clock of time? We don’t get second chances once we’ve taken the dive.

I close my eyes and touch the sky but please don’t cry for me.

All of a sudden I awake and it was all just a dream, things are not what they seem, I’ve woken up from what was my slumber, God yet hasn’t taken my number. I will live to see the days ahead. I will watch the flowers that grow. I will see so many things. I will see what nature brings.

The goodness and the bad, I will walk on. I belong. We belong. Don’t sing your final song, let the music play and give thanks today.

Worries will come and worries will go, but know it won’t always be around. We have choices that we choose in life. The dagger of a knife that hangs above our head can fall and cut us in life, but with a badge of pride we will carry on. We will stay as strong as we can.

Although we can feel ourselves go weak we must find and seek better and brighter days forget the madness and sadness and look to all of your tomorrows however long they’ll be we will never know, until it is time for us to go. For now we must stay and face the new days ahead.

Be the person that sparkles and shine, be your everything and do your best with what you’ve got.

Through rain, hail or shine be divine and take time on you and let your inner light shine on through, it all starts with me, it all starts with you.

Please share or give this a heart. Tips are always welcome. 🥰
