I wish you would’ve stopped me,
I wish you would’ve asked me to stay,
All you cared about was turning two into three,
So I left without further delay.
I wish you would’ve stopped me,
I wish you showed me you cared,
But whatever, now I’m free,
But I’m also so scared.
I’m scared to be without you,
‘Cause the only world I know is ours,
I really don’t want to be without you,
Now I’m left with only scars.
You say I already have everything,
How small do you think my world is?
All I have is a love that’s perishing,
I wish you would have given me one last kiss.
Your time, your mind, your heart,
None of it is really mine,
So to stay is not very smart,
To be yours would be so divine.
In my dreams, you stopped me,
You take my hands and say, "Please don’t go,"
But life’s not made of dreams, can’t you see?
Now, you’re someone I don’t even know.

Sometimes, it is better to walk away but it'll definitely be very heartbreaking. Loved your poem!
