DON’T FORGET
Don't For Once Forget
The "Why" You Started
How We Wore Torn Clothes to School
Barefooted With Nylon as School Bag
How the Whole Street Knew Us
Coz We Were The Errand Kids
How We Were So Loyal To Them
Coz Lunch Would Come From Them
How the Whole House Ate At the Same Time
Just To Save Soup
How They Couldn't Mingle With Us
Coz We Were From the Slum
How We Watched TV in Turns
Through A Hole in the Window
With One Eye Closed
How We Didn't Stay Far Away
From The House That's Cooking
How We Cried To Bed Hungry and Knowing
We Would Wake Up To an Empty Pot
How We Were On the Expressway
Selecting Cars We Would Buy When Rich
How We Practically Sold Our Right
For A Plate of Rice
On A Sunday Afternoon
I Remembered All These,
I Cried
Recall That the Fight Was Against Poverty
And Not the Next Brother
Remember the Loyal Squad Beside You
Through These Days,
Make Sure You're All Bosses
Y'all Go Back To Then Slum
And Pull Up Some Stumps
GIVE BACK
Remember To Keep The Goal In Check...
But Nevertheless
Should You In Anyway Rise From Poverty to Wealth
At The Expense Of Another Man
Remember To Keep Hold of the "Golden Rule"
While You Thrive Through This Stormy and Difficult Lane
Remember To Give To the Next Man
Who Needs the Help You Have In Bulk
For Sure It Will All Make Sense,
Maybe Not Yet
But At the End of It All
Eventually...

Come, discover the true Nigeria with me
Each story is true story about my country and my people.
Being poor has double meaning.
One is to live in poverty.
The other is to live without hope and dreams.
I have hope and dreams.
Therefore I am rich.
