Don't come out for me.

Come out for you.

.

No need for fanfare or announcements.

No pressure to say it in the right tone

or write it in the right font.

.

You don't need to tell anyone really.

.

But trust yourself

to know yourself

and love yourself.

Even that part.

.

And know I love that part of you, too.

Aww this is such a sweet poem! And a very good message.

  • Hi there! I’ve really been enjoying your poetry, it’s so earnest and humble. And this poem too, especially during Pride Month when there’s so much pressure sometimes, it’s so relevant. I wanted to let you know that we featured this poem in our queer vocal voices Facebook group. Would love to have you join if you’re interested :) It’s just an online queer space for queer writers and stories to flourish 😊
