You. It’s you again.

You and your charming smile

The melodious sound of your laughter

Rings in my ears endlessly

Never letting me rest

I thought I told myself that I let you go

And never again will I allow you to come back

Yet, my heart and my mind disagrees

My heart wants you to stay here

While my mind is flooded with memories of you

Wanting to erase them, to forget them

So it wouldn’t hurt to remember

That you and I were once happy together

My only regret was; why did I let you in

And why did I allow you to leave

When I could’ve just asked you to stay

Begged you, or pleaded you

But I let it happen and it’s all my fault

If only I had said those words to you;

“Please don’t go. Stay.”

You’d still be here with me.

Even with that thought and that fact

I don’t want to be hurt again

So don’t come back, ever.

I hate you.

But I love you.
