All shades and colors

Thick patois and southern twang

But all girls, ladies, and young missus'

Never a woman

*I was told that this was the initial question my wife asked when my friends met her at a birthday party. I was not there at the time. They told me about her, and this is our origin story updated from this 2004 interaction. I finally responded 2 years' later, just before our wedding. She's still the only one.
