Divinity

A sonnet about a woman

Impossible it is for one to ken

The heart and intent of another fair.

To question openly what one may send

To win what she hides that eyes say beware.

Maiden, damsel, I would not possess you;

For none could ever hold such brilliant light.

Goddess, Queen, see the enemies you slew;

Your power and love immune to their blight.

But still I wonder, I cannot predict,

Where or what you will become tomorrow.

Stay thyself simply to accept this gift,

An alleviation of some sorrow.

She is chaos; wild and intangible.

She is creation; never damnable.
