Divine Rage.

History repeats?

All good things come to those who wait?

What to do when waiting has turned to complacency

What to do when the words from our language

Are foreign to those around us

Language was created to bind us together

To plan and to build.

What is the fate of striving forward

They say it only takes one

When one is screaming into a sea of hate

That love is the way

Does love win?

Does it truly win in a world built to profit from rage

From fear and distrust?

The fate of one who cannot breathe in the absence of compassion

In the ever-expansive emptiness within a population of the lost

Hearts and souls of the pretend smiles that nobody wants to face

Do they?

I am screaming from the top of my lungs that anyone listen

Please light your flames

Please take aim

Please know the enemy is within

It is the anger you face

It is the numbness that takes over your limbs like puppet strings.

This piece pulses with frustration, a cry against indifference and the numbing weight of waiting too long. The contrast between love and the world’s thirst for rage hits hard. A powerful, urgent, and thought-provoking piece.
