Distractions - a poem

The only way to slow the pain

By Henry PlumePublished 2 years ago 1 min read

A shot in the dark, to ease a pain in the heart

We all try and consume ourselves in something else for one reason

To ease the tearing apart or tears in the dark

It'll be 10 years before my heartbreak breaks even

Distractions.

The only way to ease the pain

Just be careful what you choose

Because it might be that all hope is not washed away.
