Ending Distractions to Find the Light

My legs are shaking from hours of sex

Sex that I used as a distraction to avoid concentrating

To avoid concentrating I need another distraction

Another distraction like focusing on walking is a nice break for my mind

For my mind which is beginning to recognize my surroundings

My surroundings which are empty, cold and lonely

Cold and lonely are the feelings I’m running from

I’m running from the truth that sits below the surface of who I am

Who I am is the same, inside I am running from the same feeling

Feeling that tells me there is more

More to living like discovering peace and uncovering

Uncovering my vastness, my beauty, my strength, my soul

My soul that lives in all and all in me

In me I will continue to diminish the darkness, until the light surrounds

The light surrounds all of me
