What is distance to us?
What does it matter,
When our souls are connected
Throughout time and space?
Does it truly change
The nature of us?
No, I think not.
If anything,
It makes our every moment together
So much sweeter than it might otherwise be.
It makes the mere thought of you
Electricity in my veins.
Your words have become
My lifeblood.
Your presence,
The very air that I breathe.
Your image remains with me
Throughout every day and every night.
Your voice is music in my ears.
Your love is intoxicating.
So, what is distance to us?
It is nothing but
Another step we must take
To find one another again.
