momentary shifts in the time and space are elastic
duh i said to myself under my inattentive breath
i wasn't sure if this was the right way or not
silently while my family slept
the tap tap tap tap of my keyboard the only sound
realising the tv is on but sound is dead, my wife is asleep on the couch
all seems pretty good in my quiet post three am world
crazy i'm not even tired and i had a shit night’s sleep last night
tell you what though, i don’t know, what i was going on about (no yo)
i have put a blanket over my wife and more wood in the fire
of course it's like pissing in a wet suit
no one notices but there is a momentary warm feeling
