In a world where all that could be seen for miles was darkness
Your light disrupted
You threw sun and warmth to a starved, vacant, and dark land
You threw kindness at a soul so used to pain it shriveled at the mere touch of your fingers
You showed a broken spirit how to live again
You showed the darkness that not all hope was lost
Good did still exist
Love could and would still conquer all
Love was the light in the dark
Those brilliant sapphire eyes a window to a life unimaginable
To a life full of laughter and happiness
Those full pink lips a portal to salvation I didn't know I needed
Your breathe the only air I could stand to breathe
Your arms the strength I had been starved for
You were my light, my strength, my smile, my laughter, the air in my lungs and the depth I had forgotten I had
The once broken lungs now full with clean air
the once betrayed and belittled eyes alight with joy
the once bitter smile a blooming rose in the spring
you were more then just then just a rarity you were the blessing I never knew I needed
