In the tapestry of life, a masterpiece so grand,
Amidst the flaws and imperfections, beauty does stand.
For it’s in those little quirks and idiosyncrasies we find,
The true essence of a soul, one of a kind.
Like a diamond with facets, shining bright,
Each flaw adds character, a captivating light.
For perfection can be cold, distant, and bland,
But flaws bring warmth to touch, like a gentle hand.
In every crooked smile, a story untold,
In every scar and blemish, a journey unfolds.
For it’s through the cracks that light seeps in,
Revealing depths within, where true treasures begin.
The stuttered words, a melody unique,
A symphony of authenticity, no need to critique.
The stumbling steps, a dance so pure,
Ebracing vulnerability, each moment secure.
The messy hair, a wild mane of dreams,
Unraveling thoughts, bursting at the seams.
For perfection’s allure often masks the real,
Yet flaws expose the raw emotions we feel.
So let us celebrate the beauty in each flaw,
In the unfiltered truth that we all draw.
For it’s in embracing imperfections, we truly see,
The extraordinary beauty that resides in you and me.

E.G.
My work aims to provoke reflection, ask uncomfortable questions, and occasionally offer a path forward — but never too easily. When I'm not writing, I'm probably reading three books at once or arguing with myself about which one to finish.
