Disappointment!

Disappointment, a grand detour,

A heavy burden on the heart to endure.

A dream unlaced, a plan erased,

A journey that falls short when faced.

A friend who turns away,

A lover lost, a hope betrayed.

A promise made, but never paid,

A wound that cuts deep, that blood won't drip.

Disappointment whispers doubt,

It casts a shadow on my soul to drought,

It makes me feel unsure, afloat,

And question every goal I wrote.

But disappointment, hear me say,

You will not break my spirit anyway.

I'll rise above, I'll turn around,

And find my way on that dusty road.

You! Disappointment is just a test,

Of strength, of faith, of perseverance.

It shows me that I'm truly blessed,

through hollow emptiness opportunities are caressed.
