Disappointment creeps in, like a thief in the night,
Stealing our joy, and causing us fright.
It clouds our vision, and steals our peace,
Leaving us lost, and searching for release.
Disappointment is hard, to shake off our mind,
As it grips our hearts, and makes us blind.
To all the good things, that life still holds,
And the love and the laughter, that never grows old.
But disappointment is not, the end of the road,
It's a chance to grow, and to bear its load.
To learn from our mistakes, and to find new ways,
And to emerge stronger, on brighter days.
So let's not give up, when disappointment comes,
But instead let's hold on, and rise above.
For the sun always shines, after the rain,
And our joy will return, after disappointment's pain.
