Directions...
I've always been curious ...
They say, "Follow the right path, catch the right train,"
But why not challenge the norm, break the chain?
Discovering a path, no matter right or wrong,
Exploring them all, where we truly belong.
Must we always walk where others have been,
Or can we create our path, fresh and clean?
Why stick to just the "right" decision's song,
When trying both sides could help us grow strong?
Do we have to follow rules, never stray,
Or can we make our own, light our own way?
Others may watch and have their say,
But our happiness guides us, day by day.
So, let's explore all directions, be our own guide,
In our hearts, the compass knows, deep inside.
She'll choose our best direction, with us she'll ride,
Not for others, just for us, Only Us ..

Day 4 of Quitting
If this is how sobriety feels, maybe it’s better to go through life a little buzzed… this, along with other hits like, I want to kill myself, I wish I was dead, and I’m going to throw myself off a bridge have been the only thoughts on rotation these past few days. I promise myself that if, in a month, I still feel like this (‘this’ meaning despondent, full of rage, and simultaneously numb) I can go back to smoking. Until mid-February though? Nicotine is off the table.
