Dig

You just can't stop once you start

By UnusuallyDarkLushPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Depression has been part of my life for as long as I can remember

When it first starts and ends for a period of time you think wow I escaped

You are wrong for you can never escape

You've only just scratched the surface of a hole you start digging for yourself

Over the years it comes and it goes but every time you dig more of your hole

Each time it passes you feel such relief but the next time you face it your sure it'll end in defeat

Once the years pass by and you finally realize this hole is almost 6 feet deep it scares you inside

Will the next match up be my final fate

There is only so many rounds you can take

Tired and restless is how your life is and at that point another round and you will surely drown

Wait for the bell to ring and then with the last shovel full you've completed the final blow

One can only hope there is peace to be found deep in the ground
