Sweet Anne Marie

Always makes mistakes

Never learns, never learns

And so her heart it breaks

Over and over and over

Lover to lover to lover

And she still isn't a mother

She has witnessed a trauma with her brother

Cut off air supply, the lightning and the thunder

All she ever wanted was to be understood.

For someone to have held her when she cried

For someone to have comforted her when she was scared.

She didn't get that

She didn't get that.

This story about Anne Marie is really sad. It makes you wonder how many people out there have gone through similar traumas and never got the comfort they needed. I can't help but think about how important it is to be there for others, especially when they're going through tough times. Do you think there are ways we can better understand what people like Anne Marie are going through?
