Did You Feel That?
The Road Drops Here, Challenge

so many before
to direct the way
soft gentle roars
savagely decayed
time wields a sword
that disfigures a face
we all leave this world
for some other place
no forward or back
and then, you find yourself stuck
tripped by the slack
of your current bad luck
though it seems nothing's changed
you know it can't stay the same
your whole world rearranged
where no one knows your name
when a pinball game tilts
the whole thing starts over
you must try to rebuild
a renewed beginner
until you've run out of chances
the last strike and you're out
no matter your circumstances
dig your roots in and sprout
in the midst of the fall
in the climate of change
backs against the wall
over paid or short changed
catch your breath, without stop
change awaits your arrival
witness every jaw drop
as you plan your reprisal
mark this moment in time
it won't pass here again
a perfectly framed paradigm
both beginning and end
nothingness forming a thought
a renewal of self
take the step and fearnought
when extending one's self

What a life poem you have written here with a lot of up and down. Good job.
