Did I miss 'Anything'?

Did I miss anything, while I was away?

Was there something important that I should convey?

I hope that I didn't miss any big news,

Or any events that would cause me to lose.

Did I miss any laughter or any tears?

Any new stories that fill me with cheers?

Or any old tales that would stir up my fears,

That I'd have to face alone for many long years.

Did I miss seeing friends or meeting new folks?

Did I miss hearing stories of all their old jokes?

Or any new news from around the world,

That would make our lives a little more twirled.

But no matter what I missed or what I did not hear,

I'm glad that I'm here and surrounded by cheers,

For the love that I find with my family and friends,

Is all that I need and the joy never ends.
