The dictionary defines the word diaspora as, "the dispersion or spread of a people from their original homeland."

Many people may be forced to leave their home countries due to war, famine and natural disasters.

Destitute conditions can make daily life a chore.

Indescribable pain. The pain of lost loved ones. The pain of hunger.

Ashamed of your life and wanting to hide away from the rest of the world.

Shelter or lack thereof. Many homes can be destroyed leaving people without any kind of shelter.

Poverty-stricken communities.

Outreach programs help these people with food and shelter. However, they cannot fix everything.

The Raw emotion of refugees has been captured on film and with digital cameras.

The Anxiety of not knowing where to lay your head at night or where to eat.
