Diamonds on the Water

A poem for ‘Light breaks water’ challenge (inspired from my late grandmother’s words about the sun hits the water at family cabin into ‘diamonds’)

The sun has been awake..

It rises..

Every sunny day— it glares

The sun beams—

it shines—

right through -

on top of the water-

It sparks …

and then it glows-

‘I can see the diamonds..

‘The diamonds are on the water..

Glistering from the sun…

Hours Later, the sunset appears..

the diamonds have become fade

until next time—

Iwill see the diamonds on the water again..
