Devils And Gods

Somewhere In The Shadow

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished 4 months ago Updated 4 months ago 1 min read
Noir Art

My lover's heart, resuscitates my glow

snatching me from the grasp of pain's - dim grave

Reigniting this palpating ghost

rousing, with the brush of her hand, my veins

**

Drawing life, with the slightest suggestion

of sunlight in a field of wildflowers

Cast the deepest shades of love's emotion

away from this prison made of shadows

**

Reshaping contours of our silhouette

a captive, in a dark, unending haze

Breathing life into this false vignette

sculpted and redesigned for brighter days

****

Whatever is left, whatever I was

both light and dark reveal - devils and gods

I really like the imagery on this. Haunting. Sunlight in a field of wild flowers vs a dark unending haze; powerful contrast!
