What eats you whole, swallows you alive

What breaks a curse that's dying to survive

What heals the soul and eases the mind

A source to fear, a source to thrive

Devouring us, we fall down slow

Into the hearts on devil's row

What grabs your feet and strings you high

Lifts you up, turns you upside

Creates the haze, enfolds the mind

Destroys a sunset designing the sky

How bare and naked it strips us down

Revealing a soul that's destined to drown

Submerged in dust, barely awake

The core of you that's taken a break

Engulfed by ache, desperate to close

Grasping for love, just one to hold

Devouring us, we fall down slow

Into the hearts on devil's row

Thoughts well-disposed on this page of futile reflections & affections.

Your language is hard and to the point. I love this! Watch your spelling in some lines ('soure'), but otherwise, this is impressive! ;)
