Detective Brown was on a mission,
To find the man in the hooded cloak,
She knew he held the key to the symbol,
That she had seen on so many strokes.
She searched the streets, she searched the alleys,
She asked around and took some clues,
But the man in the hood was elusive,
And always seemed to slip away, like a muse.
She followed leads and gathered evidence,
But each trail led to a dead end,
The man in the hood was quite a menace,
But Detective Brown wouldn't give up, her determination wouldn't bend.
She searched high and low, day and night,
Until she finally caught a glimpse,
The man in the hood, bathed in moonlight,
She knew she was close, she could almost taste the win.
She followed him through the city streets,
And finally cornered him in a dark alley,
She asked him to reveal the secrets,
Of the symbol that had driven her so rally.
He looked at her with a sly grin,
And said, "I'm afraid I can't tell,
For the symbol holds a deeper meaning,
And it's a story that's best kept under a spell."
With that, he vanished into the night,
And left Detective Brown with more questions than answers,
But she knew she couldn't give up the fight,
For the symbol and its meaning were like an itch that needed to be caressed.
