Detective Brown's Dead-End Dilemma

L6

By James GreenPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Detective Brown was on the chase,

Running down a cobbled place,

In pursuit of a wanted man,

She knew she had to catch him, if she can.

The alleyway was dark and tight,

But her determination was a sight,

She heard his footsteps up ahead,

And knew he couldn't escape her dread.

But as she rounded the final bend,

She found the alleyway at an end,

No sign of the criminal in sight,

Just a blank wall, and a single light.

Confused and frustrated, she searched high and low,

But the criminal had vanished, like a ghost in the snow.

She couldn't believe, he got away,

Leaving her mystified, in dismay.

But she knew, she couldn't give up,

For justice must be served, with a hup-hup.

She'd be back, to search once more,

For the criminal, who'd slipped through the door.
