Heres a poem and story about 2 men,

well the same man in two different realities...

they both start the same but then branch at critical points

Yung joey was but a teenager,

he liked to toss about and wager,

sometimes put his life in danger,

like most teenagers do.

He was cool daring bold intelligent and had always been told he had massive potential.

He wanted to be a musician with his friends

he wanted to be an astrophysicist and discover the secrets of the universe

he wanted to be a natural healer and doctor

a revolutionary at heart

he felt he could only capture others passion through his art

their minds through his intellectualisations

and their bodies and souls through ancient healing practice

He just couldn't figure out which one of these was most essential -

the single timeline ends, and a quantum superposition determines into two here, universe to duoverse

both yung Joeys liked to party but when his mum told him to calm down and focus on his true desires one mocked her

being pulled in many directions he chose sacrifice of two of his passions and focused on Physics like a dart.

he loved it and received praise and was called smart.

he knuckled down, finished his bachelors, thesis and PHD blowing minds with his conceptualisations

what he'd failed to visualise was that he had never stopped partying to cope and inside of him was this growing cactus,

suppressed passions were making him sick

He was not even 30 and He knew and had discovered things many people could not comprehend,

yet he had no time for a wife and was emotionally unavailable, he drank to cope with the loneliness and the hole left in his chest from the death of his creativity.

His burden was heavy and thick

he had to put his turmoil to an end

he decided to try and get sober and find some new activities, he remembered his creative side from his nativity

he acted quick

he found a guitar and played to no end...

but he just couldn't seem to get it right, like a stick in his side, the cactus inside was distracting his mind, gritty and fried he tried, he'd hidden his talent in a spikey cloak of invisibility

He started drinking again...

his life fell apart

he had built a shining mansion on sand,

and it had turned to dust.

he had no work.. no grants .. no wife.. no friends, only the bottle

his desire had gotten the better of him

h hunted and thirsted for his next drink like a lost man in the desert

he sweated without it though he could barely sweat because he was truly parched

he was having health problems..

he started thinking again

maybe it was time to start

maybe he should use ancient healing practice on himself like he'd originally planned

He didn't know where to learn such things anymore and felt he had no one to trust

in the dead of night, the desperation took hold, and he begun to research it full throttle

What he found he tested and it baffled him

his craving and carving had brought him to digging and with his digging he had hit rock bottom and thought to himself. some natural healing couldn't hurt

He went to a chiropractor because countless hours of writing papers and looking down the bottle had left his back arched.

he got acupuncture from a goblin

he had begun to feel again

he felt a warm feeling in his heart

he was hunting mouthwatering for himself who he'd buried and drowned he had this desire to join a band

The strings on his old guitar had already begun to rust

he played anyways and searched for role models

he practiced and played and something within

took over and his creative genius begun to flow carving out spaces in his soul in beautiful pastel pink and orange and purple clay colours.. he felt his chest and his heart was truly girt

with love and patience and kindness

he'd found his spark and forward he marched

joined a band in Dublin

He was finally happy again. he'd captured his heart and the hearts of many others feasted on the healing of their bodies and could captivate minds.

he was only the ripe age of 49

the second version of Yung Joey listening to his mother when she told him not to party, sacrificed his party life to pursue his 3 passions

He studied physics part time, natural and alternative medicine part time and played in a band in his spare time

he hungered for awakening of the Mind, heart, body & soul in not just himself but others and maintained a special connection with a higher power through his life

He didn't let his short-sighted hedonistic desires get the better of him except on occasion

and he worked diligently and passionately

He found himself in a well-respected local band that had a name for themselves across the nation at the age of 24

he was practicing natural medicine as a way to have stable income from the age of 22 and he acquired a PHD in Cosmology at 32

he had found success in all these areas and lived a fulfilled and happy life because he'd made the choices to sacrifice selfish hedonism and pursue and hunt for that which fulfilled his soul and changed lives hearts and the world...

Much like a spider's web all his passions had helped balance one another and music had become the stress relief from his intellectual side and his spiritual and physical health had been maintained enough to optimize both of these by his alternative health practices ..

Both found their passions in the end. the one who allowed his destiny to come through in its intertwined mosaic form just got it sooner and had a longer time to play and frolic after his success.

This goes to show that destiny is inevitable but by making the right choices you can maximise its outcome and mitigate delays.

The second version also lived a longer happier life and got happily married and had a family whereas the first found the same partner late and never had children.
