The Designation of Emery

My designation is Emery

But I’m never authentically me.

I don’t fit a gender or an indicated identity

I will be vigorous, feared, even maybe revered.

My designation is Emery

But I’m never genuinely me.

I’m not in the ebony and white yes or no

Platforms of typical human society

My denomination is Emery

But I’m never authentically me.

Few ken my true name

And some cerebrate it’s just a game

My designation is Emery

But I’m never authentically me.

I’m a light ambulator and a fallen shadow

A constant contradiction of will

My denomination is Emery

But I’m never genuinely me.

I’ve tangled with love and hate

And neither discriminate.

My denomination is Emery

But I’m never genuinely me

I fall slow but I fall hard

zealous but scarred

My designation is Emery

But I’m never authentically me

I optate to optically discern all the world has

But alas

First I have to be me

My denomination is Emery
