Don't tell me there's no life in a desert.
Breezing by a cactus forest, mutating and foreign. Grey and boring, bushels and sand, endless expanse. Devoid and dry, but the cacti thrive with the critters. Run wild lizards and beetles, I've never seen something so beautiful. Plate tectonics, rockin back and forth. Chaotic. Symphony, reap the spoils millennia later. I'm thankful. Put my head down to express my gratitude, scared to look down the view is too excitable. The planet says "I love you" we say "Boom!" But that could change, if you knew what it's like to cruise, on a 10 mile plateau. The only thing on the other side is unknown. Bumpin local artists as a soundtrack. Desert got me wanting to have her beauty back. Cause even the arid hides a gem. Copper and gold, entangled in the embrace. Shining privately. Something we couldn't see unless we melt and rearrange fire to bring the new age, comparable to what I'm writing, put there to spark intrigue.
I choose the life of education, money and fame just isn't for me. But I'll take the power in the form of another currency. That's Knowledge. I read more than I write. I love more than I fight, wrong more than I'm right. But I'll be DAMNED if I'm not learning. Through yearning for this happiness, Eternal Bliss. Internal Reminisce. I call it self-reflection, my recollection hazy but my present stays immaculate. I wrote this as a passenger. Invictus. Far from an amateur, commander of the planet earth, master of my own soul. My faith resides in my mental dessert.
Don't tell me there's no life in a desert.
