desert rain
stream of consciousness

desiccated emotions
condense
behind
arid eyes
brimming
the rigid veil
relents
overladen droplets
trace
serpentine lines
through
sere shell
uncoiled
ribbons
of
smut and salt
purge
encumbered flumes
unearthing
fossilized
pain and shadow
from
silted rivulets
carved
in
silence and stone
as
currents
of
opaque waters
rise
over
riven terrain
grasping
fleeting
glimmers
cast
through a
breaking
sky
About the Creator
Kristen Balyeat
Words fly to me on the wind, bump into me as I'm strolling the city, splash me in the face while I rest by the river, and shake me awake in the middle of the night—I’m humbly one of the vessels they use to come to life.
Also, i love you:)

So gorgeous, Kristen!
This is wonderful. I love the format and the easy flow. Well done, my friend.
Really no surprise at how beautiful this is and how wonderfully the words flow. I especially like this line: 'ribbons of smut and salt'
