they say in psychology

it’s a disorder, an illness

this realisation found in stillness,

the awakening from the physical

the knowing

of the miracle;

virtuous existence

more meaningful

than any material

pleasure or comfort

man will exchange

for his soul

his heart,

his loving gaze,

born

crying

rebirthed

dying

grasping

vying

surrender

flying

Well-wrought! The study of the mind only reveals so much, as do matters of the heart. The donkey will get us up the mountain, but we will have stronger legs if we climb it ourselves.
