Depths of Mental Health

What we all need

By Aima CharlePublished 8 months ago โ€ข 1 min read

The surface gleams, a deceptive calm,

But underneath, a silent alarm.

My mind, a sea, both deep and wide,

Where anxious currents twist and hide.

I kick and flail, a desperate fight,

Against the waves that steal my light.

Each breath, a struggle, hard-won prize,

Reflected in my tear-filled eyes.

The depths below, a murky haze,

Where fears entangle, in a maze.

I tread and tread, with weary soul,

Longing for a distant goal.

A shore of peace, a tranquil bay,

Where worries cease to hold their sway.

But still, I strive, with fading might,

To keep my head above the night.

For even in this watery plight,

A flicker of hope, a guiding light.

A strength within, I start to find,

To leave the troubled depths behind.
