Depressive Decompression

the defining tracks of my life

By Dakota RicePublished 2 years ago โ€ข 1 min read

Subdivisions - Rush

It all seems so one sided - Opinions all provided - The future pre-decided - Detached and subdivided

Ready to Fall - Rise Against

Perpetual motion, the image won't focus - A blur is all that's seen - But here in this moment like the eye of the storm - It all came clear to me

Steambreather - Mastodon

Violence born within my mind - I know it always takes it's time - Climbing inside the cosmic eye - And forgive the enemy

The Ones We Leave Behind - Trivium

If we could break through the structures built between us - Then would all the fault lines simply disappear?

Last Statement - Insomnium

Through the fear and the ache - Past the storm and the rain - I have made peace with the world

The Living Infinite - Soilwork

Let me go - To where the purity comes alive - Drown me - In the living infinite

Keys to the Kingdom - Linkin Park

Tell me what's worth fighting for - When we know there's nothing more

Live Without Regrets - Amon Amarth

A coward thinks he'll always live - If he keeps himself from strife - Old age leaves no rest and peace - Though spears may spare his life

The Grand Conjuration- Opeth

Tell me why - Love subsides

Called Home - Allegaeon

Long and cold have they grown - Sunless days in this home - Often and over and over again - Thoughts that won't come to rest

The Last Vigil - Meshuggah

Rejoin - Dethklok

Farewell - The ending must arrive

Right in Two - Tool

Angels on the sideline - Baffled and confused - Father blessed them all with reason - And this is what they choose?
