Depression Is

Many things

Darkness

Helpless

tired.

The gaping maw of overwhelming sadness.

Depression is,

Many things.

Lack of interest?

Flourishing indifference?

Life holds no meaning, motivation, joy.

My mind has swallowed my will.

These open doors flooding in shadows,

Need to close them. Need to shut them. Need to find some kind of light.

Desperation turns frantic.

Tears fall, streaking down to form a lake of deep sorrow.

A tiny voice, screaming from miles away for help.

Shouting for a savior with no voice to utter those two words...

Please Help.

Depression is,

Needing help but incapable of asking for it.

Depression is,

A flood of dark times squelching the light.

Depression is,

Desperation; intense yearning for joy.

Depression is,

A tear-stained pillow in every room.

Depression is,

Life.
