Depression
A Poetic Expression Of My Thoughts And Feelings
As I walk through yet another dark tunnel,
Will you be there to hold my hand?
Or,
Will you stigmatize me,
And say,
"I told you so?"
For many years,
I stood strong through this storm,
I worked on my goals,
And I have achieved many things,
Depression doesn't understand goals,
Nor does it understand happiness,
Like snapping a branch of a tree,
Feelings are fragile,
We can break sometimes,
Everyone has periods of instability;
Even when we think we have made it,
Our sadness can come back, sometimes,
We could be dancing on a hot Summers day,
And, within a split second;
We can find ourselves drowning in an ocean on
a cold Winters day,
Will you judge me, and tell me that you were expecting
me to have a relapse?
Or;
Will you stand by me as I recover?
Depression can hit anyone,
Whether they have done therapy or not,
We are all fragile flowers;
Sometimes we stand tall, and bloom,
Other times we wilt and fade,
We are all human;
We have feelings,
Sometimes we are strong,
And sometimes we are fragile,
Will you support me through the rain?
Or;
Will you walk away and leave me in pain?

Beautiful and full of truth!
This so sad. I feel the helplessness. Winter months can definitely there to. I make sure, I have bright lights in my home. I try to listen to uplifting music 🎶. Sending you hugs. 💗
This is so relatable.
